Aluminum Composite Panel

Aluminum Composite Panel (ACP) is a sandwich-structured sheet consisting of two high-strength aluminum alloy face sheets bonded to a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) core or a fire-retardant mineral core through a high-temperature, high-pressure lamination process. The “aluminum skin – core – aluminum skin” structure combines the weather and corrosion resistance of aluminum with the lightweight and flatness characteristics of the core.

Aluminum Composite Panel (ACP) is a sandwich-structured sheet consisting of two high-strength aluminum alloy face sheets bonded to a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) core or a fire-retardant mineral core through a high-temperature, high-pressure lamination process. The “aluminum skin – core – aluminum skin” structure combines the weather and corrosion resistance of aluminum with the lightweight and flatness characteristics of the core.

 

The typical structure consists of:

Face Sheets: Aluminum alloy (commonly 1100, 3003, etc.), thickness 0.12-0.50mm, chromated for enhanced adhesion

Coating: PVDF fluorocarbon (70% Kynar 500®) or polyester (PE) coating, providing color and weather protection

Core:  Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) for standard type, or A2-grade mineral-filled core for fire-retardant type

Protective Film: Peel-off film to protect the surface during fabrication and installation

 

Aluminum Composite Panels combine lightweight, high strength, excellent flatness, easy workability, rich color options, and optional fire resistance, making them an ideal upgrade over traditional solid aluminum, stone, wood, and other building materials. Widely used in building facades, interior decoration, signage, transportation, and more.
